    So you are a country music fan?  I only hear it when it is on other people's radios or when I am driving long distances.  The country stations have the strongest signals.  I don't dislike it; I just don't know it very well.

    I don't know how we got where we are today but I am sure that no one industry or piece of legislation- such as banking deregulation got us where we are today.  I also think the everyday consumer contributed in their own fashion.  Once Americans thought of the equity in their homes as an asset and paying off one's mortgage was celebrated.  That mindset changed to thinking of the equity as money you an draw upon and spend, and banks were financing up to 110% of a home's value.   No one stopped to think that they were creating more debt.  It is not like drawing money from a savings account.  Consumers got sucked into that same mindset, and much more than the goernment and big industry has to change.
